And The Winner Is…

You know what they say: everyone loves cheese. Well, we don’t know if everyone says that, but they should. And those people should meet Marlo Johnson of Jason’s Deli in Atlanta, GA. Marlo is the winner of this quarter's MySandwich contest. Her creation, "Marlo’s Big Cheesy," came from her relationship with her customers.

"We didn't have that many vegetarian options, and a lot of adults come in asking for grilled cheese, and all we can give them is a child's grilled cheese," says Marlo. "So I thought we could do an adult version of the grilled cheese, with a bit of a twist to it."

The catering assistant of the Dunwoody Road Jason's Deli is "still in shock about it", but looks forward to her customers getting a taste of her creation. Marlo's Big Cheesy consists of Swiss cheese, Cheddar cheese, jalapeno cheese, wilted organic spinach, roma tomatoes and pesto on organic wheat ciabatta bread.

Some of her co-workers have given her the nickname "Big Cheesy," and Marlo is taking it all in stride. Her secret to success: "Always try to remain humble and kind."

This sandwich will be available in all Jason's locations starting January 21, 2008.
