Joe Tortorice Jr.

Our Founder and CEO Joe Tortorice Jr. has been honored as the first recipient of the Archbishop Joseph Fiorenza Faithful Citizen Award, hosted by the University of St. Thomas in Houston.

The award honors “leaders of faith and culture who are a light in the midst of our way of life,” presented in conjunction with the award dinner and lecture event for St. Thomas’ Center for Faith & Culture.

Joe is a parishioner of St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica in Beaumont, Texas. Earlier this year, he received Beaumont’s Citizen of the Year award and a Silver Plate Award from the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association.

John Allen Jr., senior Vatican analyst for CNN, was guest lecturer. Craig Biggio, retired star player for the Houston Astros, also attended.

Have you guys tried getting a contract with AAFES?  I know a lot of military personnel would choose a healthy option over something fried. Plus your food is of the highest of quality. I know I absolutely love your food!

    Dear Mr. Tortorice:

Did not know where to contact you. Went to your Huntersville, NC Jason’s Deli for the first time and had initially an unpleasant experience. Have ordered a simply hot dog meal, it took 1/2 hr. to receive after having asked about it with the cashier. Apparently, it was sitting on a counter forgotten about and cold. Well I became annoyed as I asked about it 3 times. Asked to speak to a manager. Spoke w/a manager called, “Jay”. He was excellent. Jay bent over backwards to rectify the situation probably noticing I was a new customer and demonstrated he was interested in doing business and wanted to correct the impression I had of Jason’s. Admittedly it was a Sat. and it was slammed w/customers but nevertheless, I explained I had a dog in the car waiting for me. This manager could not have been more helpful, apologetic and professional in remedying an unpleasant experience. Just wanted you to be aware of this gentleman’s performance.

Have a good day. I will definitely return to Jason’s after the manner in which the problem was resolved.

    Sincerely,

    EADarling
